Before Jasleen ever knew there was something real waiting for her, Kamal, Gursharan’s sister, already had a feeling.

Gursharan had known of Jasleen for years. She was close with his sister, Kamal — familiar with the family, known, but not noticed — or so she thought. In reality, Gursharan noticed her. Always had. Just never said anything. He had his eyes on her long before she had any idea. She stood out. And that was enough.

“I had my eyes on Jasleen for a while,” he shares. “But with us being in different cities and all, I never made a move. I always thought she was so beautiful, and I had heard from many people that she was an amazing and kind-hearted girl. Despite all that, I never took the chance to message her or get her attention. I found myself looking at her Instagram posts from time to time, basically stalking her a bit.”

Jasleen had no idea. She didn’t believe in being set up. Or finding love through a screen. It had to feel real. It had to come on its own.

And one night, it did.

They both ended up at an AP Dhillon concert — Gursharan with his family and friends, Jasleen with hers. It wasn’t planned. There were no expectations. Just a packed crowd, loud music, and a moment that found them anyway.

Jasleen saw Kamal in the crowd and made her way over to say hi. And that’s when she met him.

“When my sister introduced us, I was so nervous and had butterflies,” Gursharan says. “It felt like I met my soulmate right then and there, even without talking to her. I gave her a side hug and just smiled.”

It was the first time he’d seen her in person. She was right there and he couldn’t look away.
“I kept my eyes on her.”

Then Wo Noor started playing. He reached for her hand and pulled her into a twirl. They danced. Sang along. And something shifted.

“In that moment,” Jasleen says, “the little girl within me fell head over heels.”

The concert ended. They went their separate ways. But it didn’t feel like the end of anything.

The next morning, Jasleen’s phone started buzzing. Kamal, sending messages, telling her she had to give Gursharan a chance. She said it over and over. That they made sense. That it was obvious.

What she didn’t know was that Gursharan was getting the same thing. Kamal, telling him to stop waiting. Just message her.

But he didn’t. “I was waiting for Jasleen to make the first move because I was super nervous.”

Later, she found out the real reason.

“Turns out, he had been too intimidated by my brother to make the first move,” she shares. “I found that utterly charming and romantic.”

So she messaged him.

“To my surprise and delight,” he says, “I got a DM from her the next morning. We clicked instantly and began to realize how similar we were. From that moment on, I knew I had met my soulmate.”

They’d never lived in the same city. Had barely spoken in person. But nothing felt unfamiliar.

“I even told her that I wanted to marry her right away, which might have sounded weird since we had just started talking,” Gursharan says. “But Jasleen was such a kind-hearted, beautiful girl, and I knew she was perfect for me.”

Jasleen felt the same. She had always believed love would arrive in its own time. And now here it was, in front of her. Not sudden. Not rushed. Just a quiet sense of: this is it.

“From that very first encounter, I knew he was the one I wanted to share my life with,” she says. “He was who I was waiting for and who I truly needed in my life. The love, the safety and the support he provides is something I wanted for a long time. They say when someone makes you forget your past, that person is truly meant for you; and he is truly meant for me.”

For Gursharan, there’s never been a question. “I fell for her more and more each day. She made me a better man and always motivated me to do better. I know I won’t find anyone better than her. I wouldn’t want it with anyone else but Jasleen.”

Before they were even together, Jasleen told him what her dream proposal looked like: Switzerland.

He listened. And he remembered.

Later, when it felt right, he made it happen.

They flew to Switzerland in December, during her favorite time of year, and toured all her favorite places. And then, in her favorite city, while she was making him help her film a video, he got down on one knee and proposed.

“That’s when I knew he would do anything for me,” she says.

It wasn’t just the place. It was the person. The one who remembered the dream and made it real. Because it was always supposed to be him.

“I truly believe I’m living out my Bollywood love story,” Jasleen says. “I grew up loving all of the romantic movies — and now I have my own love story to tell.”

The wedding week came and went in a blur — but for Jasleen, every single event felt like a favorite.
“I loved just being with my family and spending the most precious moments with them next to me. I felt so loved and I didn’t want it to end.”

“I always knew I wanted to wear JJ Valaya maybe for about ten years and I didn’t even look anywhere else.”

She spent months studying jewelry pieces, pulling inspiration, making sure every detail felt like her. Each day brought a different mood. A different feeling.

Today, Gursharan doesn’t just have his Jasleen — he has the kind of love that waited, quietly, until it could be real. And Jasleen? She has the love story she once dreamed of, brought to life by the one person who never stopped seeing her. Kamal had a feeling long before they did — that this was always meant to be. This was always going to be the story. And now, it’s home.
